1. Acceptance of these Terms

Welcome to Scoopterra.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Scoopterra software platform, website and related services (collectively, the "Platform" or the "Services").

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

Where registration is completed through the Platform, acceptance of these Terms is deemed to occur upon successful account creation. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not access or use the Platform.

2. Company Information

Scoopterra is operated by Scoopterra IKE, a company incorporated under the laws of Greece, with its registered office at 265 Kifisias Avenue, Kifisia 145 61, Greece.

3. Nature of the Services

Scoopterra provides location intelligence, geospatial analytics, and decision-support tools based on aggregated, processed, proprietary, and third-party datasets.

The Services are designed to support users in evaluating business opportunities, commercial locations, market potential, and related strategic decisions.

The analytical outputs, recommendations, rankings, scores, maps, reports, visualisations, and other insights generated by the Platform are provided solely for informational and decision-support purposes.

They do not constitute professional, legal, financial, tax, investment, real estate, or other professional advice, nor should they be interpreted as guarantees of future performance, commercial success, profitability, or any particular business outcome.

4. User Accounts

Users may register using an email address and password or, where available, through Google Sign-In (OAuth).

Users are solely responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials;
  • all activities carried out through their account;
  • ensuring that the information they provide is accurate and up to date; and
  • promptly notifying Scoopterra of any unauthorized use or suspected security breach involving their account.

Scoopterra reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, security, or lawful operation of the Platform.

5. Acceptable Use

Users agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

Users shall not:

  • violate any applicable law or regulation;
  • interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the Platform;
  • introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code;
  • circumvent security or authentication mechanisms;
  • use automated tools, bots or scripts to extract information from the Platform;
  • scrape, harvest or systematically collect Platform content;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, algorithms, methodologies or recommendation models of the Platform;
  • attempt to reconstruct, infer or reproduce the underlying datasets or analytical methodologies used by Scoopterra;
  • share user accounts with unauthorized persons; or
  • copy, reproduce, distribute, sublicense, sell, commercialize or otherwise exploit any part of the Platform or its outputs without Scoopterra's prior written consent.
6. User Data

Users retain ownership of the business information they submit through the Platform.

By submitting such information, users grant Scoopterra a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that information solely for the purpose of providing, maintaining, securing and improving the Services in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to the Platform and the Services, including without limitation the software, source code, algorithms, recommendation engine, methodologies, scoring models, datasets, know-how, trade secrets, visualisations, reports, maps, designs, databases, trademarks, logos, documentation and all related content remain the exclusive property of Scoopterra or its licensors and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, nothing contained in the Platform grants users any licence, ownership interest or other right to use Scoopterra's intellectual property.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates or relies upon certain third-party services, including Google Sign-In, Google Places API, Calendly, Formester, Contentful, Neon, DigitalOcean and transactional email providers.

Certain functionality of the Platform depends on these services, which remain subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies. Scoopterra is not responsible for the operation, availability or content of third-party services.

9. Accuracy of Information

Scoopterra makes reasonable efforts to provide reliable, accurate and up-to-date Services.

However, the Platform relies on multiple internal and external data sources that may change over time.

Accordingly, Scoopterra does not warrant or guarantee that the Platform, its datasets, analytical outputs, recommendations or other information will always be complete, accurate, current, uninterrupted or error-free.

Users remain solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of any recommendation provided by the Platform and for independently verifying such information before making any business, operational, commercial, investment or strategic decision.

10. Availability of the Platform

Scoopterra may modify, update, suspend or discontinue any part of the Platform or the Services at any time for maintenance, security, operational, legal or business reasons.

Scoopterra does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the Platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scoopterra shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, including, without limitation, loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill or data arising out of or relating to:

  • the use of or inability to use the Platform;
  • reliance upon any analytical output, recommendation or insight;
  • inaccuracies or omissions in third-party datasets;
  • temporary unavailability of the Platform; or
  • any business decision taken by a user based on the Services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

12. Suspension and Termination

Scoopterra reserves the right to suspend, restrict or terminate user accounts, or otherwise limit access to the Platform, where:

  • these Terms are violated;
  • the Platform is misused;
  • fraudulent or unlawful activity is suspected; or
  • such action is reasonably necessary to protect the security, integrity or lawful operation of the Platform.
13. Changes to these Terms

Scoopterra may revise these Terms of Use from time to time.

Any updated version will be published on the Platform together with its Effective Date and Last Updated date.

Continued use of the Platform following publication of the revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those revisions.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Athens, Greece.
